The health and well-being of our First Baptist Church family and guests are a high priority to us.
We are currently offering a drive-in worship service at 9:00 a.m., and an indoor worship service in the Compton Life Center at 11:00 a.m.
On August 23 we will be observing The Lord's Supper at our drive-in and indoor worship services.
Please see the notice below concerning the reopening of the First Baptist campus.
We encourage you to watch the Sunday and Wednesday services on this website, Facebook, or on Youtube. Sunday services are posted at 8:30 a.m. and Wednesday Evening services are posted at 6:30 p.m.
We encourage you to give your offering by mailing a check to the church or giving on- line. To give on-line click on the “give” link in the top right corner of our website. It is a simple and secure process.
Several church events have been postponed or cancelled at this time:
- All Wednesday night services and activities are cancelled.
- All onsite choir rehearsals (children, youth, and adults) are cancelled until further notice.
- Children's Sunday School and Children's Worship are cancelled.
Because we are experiencing a very fluid situation concerning the coronavirus, please check back here regularly for updates.
We will continue to adjust to this changing situation and will keep you updated on this page. You can also keep up with First Baptist Church news via Facebook.
NOTICE ON REOPENING OF THE FIRST BAPTIST MYRTLE BEACH CAMPUS
In accordance with CDC guidelines we have enhanced sanitization procedures and implemented additional measures for distance spacing and screening.
We have taken these enhanced health and safety measures for you, our church family and guests, and our staff. You must follow all posted instructions while on the First Baptist Church of Myrtle Beach (FBCMB) campus.
An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and those with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.
By being on the FBCMB campus, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
Help keep each other healthy. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
We ask that all worshippers and staff comply with the following:
- Face covering required – Everyone is required to wear a face covering while on campus.
- Social distancing – Practice social distancing and keep at least 6 feet (2 meters) between you and others.
- Please do not attend services in the Compton Life Center if you are sick.
- For safety of worshipers and staff, we reserve the right to take temperatures of everyone attending a worship service.
Please note that the CDC advises that older adults and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions might be at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19. Worshippers should evaluate their risk in determining whether to attend.
People who show no symptoms can spread COVID-19 if they are infected. Any interaction with the general public poses an elevated risk of being exposed to COVID- 19, and we cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed during your time on our campus.
We appreciate your cooperation during this unprecedented time.
